5 Weeks

Today marks 5 weeks for this pregnancy. Everything is looking good and promising. I am cautiously optimistic – my confidence level grew a little each passing day.

About a year ago, I saw my blood orange tree bloomed and I considered it as a good sign. And it was. I was pregnant in August. Unfortunately just like the young blood orange tree, my body wasn’t ready yet, so we both lost our babies.

This time, my 5 year old kumquat tree was blooming profusely. There were flowers on every single branch. Citrus trees are not supposed to be fruitful until they reach 7 years, so it was quite magical to see such heavy bloom.

Flowers turned into young fruit buds. Some failed and some are continue to grow strongly. About half of the fruit are still growing and second wave of bloom arrived yesterday.

Seeing this miracle brings confidence that my miracle will continue strongly. I’m really looking forward to my birthday for the first prenatal visit.
