Feeling Blessed

“Dear Raistlin,

Today mommy and daddy received a good news. Daddy’s tumor is benign, so he will not need the chemotherapy. Now mommy and daddy can continue with our recovery peacefully. Rest in peace, dearest son. We will be just fine. We are blessed with so many great friends surrounding us, helping and supporting us. “

Yes, I would like to thank all of our family and friends. We wouldn’t be able to get through this without your support, thoughts and prayers. They are like glimmers of light that guided us in the darkness so we didn’t stumble and fall.

Terri, Jen and Bonnie, words cannot describe the amount of help you have given us for the whole week last week. You took care of us when we both were hospitalized in two different hospitals. You took care of our pets, keeping them happy and healthy. Bonnie, thanks for spending time cooking us meals even though you are in the middle of your exam preparation. Our awesome co-workers (and past co-workers) who sent us beautiful flowers, precooked meals, snacks and entertainment. And last but not least, our Facebook friends who sent us your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much for the love and care you’ve shown to us and Raistlin. We’re forever grateful to you.
